PRESS: Russian supercomp maker T-Platforms survives cash deficiency

MOSCOW, Dec 19 (PRIME) -- Russian supercomputer producer T-Platforms, controlled by state Vnesheconombank (VEB), has faced lawsuits from several partners for some 150 million rubles over the year, but the company said cash deficiency has been overcome, business daily Kommersant reported Monday.

Computers distributor OCS Distribution, a unit of National Computer Corporation, went to a Moscow district court with a lawsuit against T-Platforms and its CEO Vsevolod Opanasenko, according to the court’s documents.

Director of OCS Alexei Kalinin said the company had a contract to supply components of equipment designed by T-Platforms, under guarantees of Opanasenko himself. OCS fulfilled the order, but has not been paid since early 2015, and the debt now reaches about U.S. $700,000, Kalinin said.

State corporation Rostec’s research and development center also filed a suit against T-Platforms to the Moscow Arbitration Court for 28.1 million ruble debts.

The company has been recently also a respondent in labor disputes on unpaid salaries.

Deputy General Director of T-Platforms Yelena Churakova said customers delayed payments to the supercomputer manufacturer earlier in 2016. “The company managed the cash deficiency and is gradually repaying delayed liabilities,” she said, adding that debts on salaries were primarily settled.

Revenue of T-Platforms was at 3.04 billion rubles in 2015 and its net profit was at 10.7 million rubles. Opanasenko owns 74.99% in the company, while VEB holds 25.01%.
